Stu and I are pleased and honoured to announce that we have been selected to participate in the first annual Artist in Residency Program held at Beausoleil Island of the amazing Georgian Bay Islands National Park of Canada. Only 6 artists were selected out of 32 applicants.
Artists will be staying in one of their new rustic cabins, newly built in 2011 for a week to study the region for a week, and to create a body of work based on their studies. While there, we will hold a Meet and Greet on the Saturday of September 8th in the Visitor Centre located at Cedar Springs.
We are invited to hold workshops in situ, (TBA). Otherwise, we are so excited to spend the week emmersed on the Islands hiking, kayaking and sketching all around the Park to inspire a body of work to promote and educate everyone about this beautiful region we are so fortuneate to call our home.
