New Paintings of Georgian Bay - Mostly Blue Skies · Jun 13, 05:13 pm

In keeping with our August Exhibition entitled, “Nothing But Blue Skies”, here are some of my latest small works in preparing for that show.

The first two pieces are works in progress soon to be completed this week.

And there are plenty more little ones to go with the Balm Beach piece.

Our next show of these works will be at the Thunder Beach Clubhouse Sunday July 3rd, 1-4pm.

Circle of Honour Philanthropist Awards Dinner, Huronia Community Foundation, Midland ON, 2011 · Jun 6, 06:13 pm

A few months ago we were approached by the Huronia Community Foundation to make a donation for the Circle of Honour Philanthropist Awards Dinner which took place this past Saturday June 4th, 2011.

At that time, we chose to donate a small painting and gift certificate towards an original painting, each valued at $450.00 for their silent auction.

We were also asked to consider dressing the hall with a few of our paintings.

It was a great evening, with well over 180 people in attendance, including Gord MacKay, Midland Mayor, Gerry Marshall, Penetanguishene Mayor, Garfield Dunlop, MPP, and Bruce Stanton, MP … along with the many contributors, sponsors and volunteer committee members that made this evening possible.

The Hall looked fantastic with the addition of the art, which brought attention to their Silent Auction tables, which raised money for the Foundation.

Congratulations to all the award winners!

THUNDER BEACH ART SHOW = SUCCESS! · Jul 20, 05:36 pm

Thank you to everyone for coming to the First Art Show held at the Thunder Beach Clubhouse here in our local area!

What a tremendous event!!!!!! In the four hours, I barely stopped from talking and meeting so many new people! It was so encouraging to see such great support.

All the artists were also very happy with the turnout and nearly all the artists sold works, and many made contacts for the future.

Karla and her band was also a great hit! What a great venue!

The last three photos are now all I have left in my works for sale. So back to the studio tomorrow to paint more!
