Isla Holbox, Mexico Carribean - PAINTING OF THE MONTH · Jun 20, 04:46 pm
Isla Holbox is a beautiful little Island in Mexico – a special place for my sister Cathy and her fiance, Dennis … so while they were there last year, she took this photo – amazed at how this tree just sprouted from the sand – and she envisioned one of my paintings.
So upon their return, they commissioned this piece. Big supporters of our work, I think this is piece number what, 10? It’s amazing to have family support.
I have to admit, it was a bit tricky and gave me some challenges but I love it and hope to see this magical place in person!
Thanks Cathy and Dennis!!!!!!

PAINTING OF THE MONTH - April 2011 - Silver Peak, Killarney Park · Apr 5, 11:18 pm
I just completed the latest Peak painting … inspired by hiking to Silver Peak in Killarney Provincial Park at sunset. It was an amazing night! And to see the long blue shadows of the erratics was so calming amid the windy skies.
This work is 36” x 48”. The piece is also shown here in our gallery in different lighting.
The last photo shows the work while in progress a few weeks ago prior to completion.

PAINTINGS of the MONTH - La Cloche Mountains - February 2011 · Feb 18, 10:23 pm
What a beautiful sunny spring like day for this new series of paintings to be launched!
Each of these paintings were inspired by tripping to Killarney, whether back country near the infamous area of Killarney Provincial Park known as the Crack, or out in the Bay near Killarney. Each piece depicts the classic white quartzite known to the region.
